I might pick up this little toy for the summer. We can be matching with yellow boats. Click image for larger version

That seems pretty fast for a floating patio... good stuff.

Small block chevy. If I keep it, going to up the power a tad bit. I wanna go 70 mph !!!

I may have been guilty of forgetting the plug on my first boat a few years ago.

What year is it, or really is it fuel injected or carb'ed? Some budget options might be: http://www.jegs.com/i/Weiand/925/650...TRMaAs9f8P8HAQ or http://www.jegs.com/i/Vortech/933/4G...-msaAgrW8P8HAQ if it's carb'ed.

Still, I'd love to see a LS in there, but I'm sure that would add up quick. Realistically a junkyard LQ4 is already going to be more power than the SBC that's in there, then add a super basic turbo or blower (LQ4s are lower compression than LQ9s and can handle a good amount of boost totally stock - though I'd do ARP head bolts) and you'll have your 70 no problem. Though, I know nothing about boats so I don't know if that kind of power gain would destroy the "drivetrain" (no idea what you really call it... the stuff another1sl destroyed in his last boat ).

I have an OMC Big Daddy Cone Clutch outdrive that can handle a ton of horsepower. More than likely I'm going to replace the boat in the next couple of years. My needs have changed and i really need an open bow boat to hold more people.

I bet it'd sell better down the road with a boosted LQ4!
